Beliefs
	We believe that. . . . Educators, parents, peers, and others in the community are role models to develop attitudes, abilities, and success in reading. Reading is a life-long activity that improves the quality of a person’s life. Each individual should have the opportunity to learn to read through effective instruction, motivation, and encouragement. We become better readers by reading. Successful reading instruction requires human and financial resources made available through a variety of venues. Students should have access to current and useful books and other printed materials in their classrooms and libraries. The love, value, and purpose of reading should be fostered by all educators in partnership with the home, school, business, and community.
