Mission		Purpose
	The Indiana State Reading Association is committed through collaboration with local councils to promote and support reading.		Improve the quality of reading all levels Act as a coordinating agency for local and special interest councils of Indiana Assist in the formation of new councils and support the programs of existing councils. Sponsor state programs, conferences and meetings planned to implement the purposes of the local and special interest councils and the International Reading Association. Promote mutual understanding and cooperative work between the Indiana State Reading Association at all levels and other organizations who desire to promote reading. Study, promote, and disseminate research in the field of reading. Disseminate knowledge helpful in solving reading problems. Stimulate the love of reading as a lifelong habit.
