All membership types for ISLA are valid for 1 year beginning on the date you join. All memberships will be auto-renewed each year unless you cancel. All local councils are under the umbrella of ISLA, so when you pay for membership into one, you are a member of the other. Everyone who joins ISLA must choose a local council to be a member of.
