All membership types for ISLA (Indiana State Literacy Association) are valid from July 1st - June 30th of each year. You will be re-billed annually from the date that you join and automatically through Join It unless you cancel your membership. All local councils are under the umbrella of ISLA, so when you pay for membership into one then you are a member of the other. Everyone who joins ISLA must choose a local council to be a member of.

The ISLA (Indiana State Literacy Association) is an affiliate to the ILA (International Literacy Association). ILA membership is optional and separate, but encouraged. All Executive Board Members are required to have a valid ILA membership while in office. A local council must have 10 active ILA members in order to apply for the Honor Council award through ILA.

Membership Types
Online Plus Membership ($44): Access all of ILA's resources online with the option to add print and online or online-only journal subscriptions.

Student Membership ($39): Online Plus Membership benefits for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (up to five years).
Retired Membership ($39): Online Plus Membership benefits for those who are fully retired and have been a member continuously for at least 10 years. (Please download and return this form to enroll.)
Developing Economy Membership (Free): Developing Economy Members are now Online Members with special pricing. Please join or renew as an Online Member and the pricing will update on the basis of your address. This allows you the same access as your previous membership type, but with the option to join or renew for three years at a time!

Access ILA
All members can take advantage of Access ILA, a discounted journal subscription option. Access ILA subscribers receive online subscriptions to all three journals, plus online access to the Reading Research Quarterly Library, at one discounted rate per year.
